I'm someone who writes, designs software, and makes art (amongst other things). I care deeply about the power of personal stories and the art of storytelling. For me, it's the root of everything that I do.

Growing up in a small English town, I found solace in two things: books and computers. Ever since, I've wondered how those worlds might be brought together; how computers might help people share stories.

This year (2025) I started to take my own writing more seriously, and to see where it might lead—with the hope that it could finally bring these two worlds that mean so much to me into alignment.

I started writing on Medium when it was first introduced to the world, and it gave me so much back then. A place to write, share and read. A place to build community and to reduce the friction of publishing. I'll be publishing here again to reignite that community, and to encourage others who are doing the same. To me, Medium is community.

If you read anything that I publish here, I'll be honored. To spend time with a story is to spend time with the person who wrote it. I'll be grateful for any time that you spend with me, and let me spend with you.
